Athletics days are a fantastic showcase of competition and participation for all students. Whether your child is in Prep or Year 6, they each have an opportunity to be crowned "Age Champion" for our senior school, or 'Year Level Champion' for our Prep to Year 3 students.
The Junior Sports Day for students in Prep and Year 1 is on Friday 18 June. The focus of the day is on the promotion of an active lifestyle through participation and being the best 'ME' they can be. By having this focus, all students, no matter their level of ability, actively participate and display a healthy level of competition on the day.
The Middle School Athletics Day is a day of both competition and participation for all students. Our middle school Athletics Day for all students in Years 2 and 3 will be held on Tuesday 22 June. The Day has been designed to be a transition between the games orientated approach of the Prep and Year 1 Sports Day and the formalised track and field day of that in the senior school.
The Senior School Track and Field Carnival is truly an inspiring day to behold. It will be held on Monday 21 June. All events are designed to provide a healthy level of competition, whilst providing an opportunity for students to attain a position in the Talara Primary College Athletics Team to compete at the Coastal District Track and Field Trials in Term 3.
