On behalf of the P&C Association, welcome to Talara Primary College. We hope you and your family settle into your school life quickly and grow to value the commitment to excellence in education on offer at the College. We trust that you will find our enthusiasm for this ethos evident in every aspect of your experience.
Central to our identity is the profound sense of community that permeates through Talara Primary College. Our P&C plays a pivotal role in nurturing and sustaining this spirit of togetherness within both the school and the broader community. Through collaborative efforts and mutual respect, we strive to cultivate an environment where every individual feels valued, supported and empowered to thrive.
The Talara P&C is dedicated to forging a strong partnership with our school community, working to achieve the best possible outcomes for our students. We collaborate closely with the school to facilitate financial contributions that are crucial for the enhancement of educational programs and facilities. This includes items such as the multi-purpose courts and roof, building and refurbishing playgrounds, iPads, books, learning support materials, sporting equipment, musical instruments and so much more.
Together, we organise a variety of events aimed at raising funds whilst fostering stronger connections between home and school. These events serve as vital opportunities for our community to come together, contribute and actively participate. Through your involvement, you play an integral role in ensuring the success of these endeavours.
The P&C makes significant financial contributions to enhance our school each year. In order to achieve this, we coordinate, in partnership with the school and the help of the whole community, a range of fun community events and fundraising activities throughout the year.

Support our Tucker Shack
Support and attend our major events, as well as invite your family and friends to join
Help us source prizes, donations and sponsorships from local businesses
Help us to sell raffle tickets, share links to donation pages etc
Support the Mother's Day, Father's Day and Christmas Stalls.
We also love volunteers in the Tucker Shack. It's a fun and friendly environment and our wonderful volunteers help keep the service sustainable and affordable for all.

We warmly invite you to join the discussions that help shape our school and the direction of the P&C. General Meetings are held each term in Week 3 and Week 8 at 6.30pm in the school administration building.
