They also develop scientific literacies and reasoning skills. By engaging our students in project-based STEM and Technologies subjects, we are preparing them for living and working in the 21st century.

Digital Technologies

Digital technologies are essential in everyday life. The Talara Primary College Digital Technologies Program makes use of a range of digital technology functions and applications to develop knowledge, skills and capacity to select, inquire, develop new understandings, transform information and construct new knowledge for a variety of purposes.

Our classrooms are well-equipped with digital tools, including interactive screens and fully networked devices with internet access, enabling seamless integration of technology into daily lessons. Students also participate in weekly specialist Digital Technologies lessons, where they develop practical skills and explore innovative topics such as coding, robotics, and responsible online behaviour and safety. These lessons are designed to foster confidence in essential digital skills.

In alignment with the Australian Curriculum, our students apply digital technologies across various practical applications and subject areas, building fundamental skills and competencies.
