Extra-curricular Teams

​Research tells us that one of the key qualities of outstanding schools is the extra-curricular opportunities that cater for and extend all aspects of students' learning. We value and support the holistic development of students through engaging pedagogy and enrichment opportunities. At Talara Primary College, our students are incredibly fortunate to be offered an extensive range of extra-curricular opportunities. Each of these activities are only possible as a result of a large number of passionate and talented staff offering their passion, personal time and expertise. These terrific programs and clubs create lifelong memories for our little people. They provide opportunities for our students to shine while they have lots of fun and learn to try new things.

The reputation of Talara Primary College as a school of Performance Excellence continues to grow far and wide. The college has embedded music, drama, dance, STEM​ and sport throughout the curriculum to promote the diverse and amazing talent of so many students which in turn has enabled a vast array of extracurricular opportunities for students.

Talara strives to promote inclusivity through a holistic approach to teaching and learning, therefore, we provide a smorgasbord of choices to the students.  Not only does this develop the whole child, but gives students opportunities to work with various groups of students and staff across the school.

During Term 1 each year, the extracurricular groups and timetables are determined and information is provided to students who may be interested.  

Some groups are only available for specific year levels, others may require an audition and some have limited spaces.  ​
