It is a very busy time for our Year 6 students as they prepare to move on to new settings and undertake their secondary schooling.
In the final two weeks of term, there are a few important events on the calendar for our Year 6 students, please see below.
Culminating - Thursday 2 December 1.45pm
This will be a very special culminating as the Year 6 students and their parents take a Memory Walk around the school to reflect upon some of their fondest memories whilst at Talara.
Highschool Transition Day - Wednesday 8 December
The Year 6 students who have enrolled at Caloundra State High School, Kawana Waters State College, Meridan State College or Baringa Secondary College, for Year 7, 2022 will spend the day at their future high schools. They will be engaged in orientation activities and make sure that they are well informed for next year.

Year 6 Graduation Ceremony - Thursday 9 December
The students are really looking forward to their Graduation Ceremony which will take place on the evening of Thursday 9 December. Photography is by appointment and commences at 4pm. The doors open and food will be served from 5.30pm. Everyone will be seated at 6pm and the official ceremony will commence.

Gold Pass Day & Farewell parade/clapout - Friday 10 December
The final Gold Pass Day for our Year 6 students will be held at the beach on Friday 10 December.

They will then attend our emotional final parade and TPC Farewell Clap Out that Friday afternoon.
The farewell parade is always a special event, and it is even more spectacular with lots of parents and community members coming along to help us celebrate and farewell our senior students. The parade will commence at 1.45pm in the Performance Centre finishing with our whole school arch for the Year 6 students to exit.
These 155 students will certainly be missed in 2022 and we look forward to our current Year 5 students becoming our school seniors. Good luck to each and every one of you. Our wish for you is to continue to be confident and resilient lifelong learners in your pursuit of excellence!
