Supporting Talking Workshop 17 March 2021

Parents of students in the Early Years (Prep-Year 1) are invited to attend this workshop presented by the school's Speech Language Pathologist, Emma Linthwaite.

 The workshop will focus on: 

  • Children’s speech development 

  • How speech sounds are made 

  • Types of speech difficulties 

  • Strategies to support your child’s speech production 

Time will be available after the workshop if you have any specific questions Wednesday 17th March 2021 

9 - 10:00am 

Place: Talara Primary College, Media Room, IAC (Library)

Supporting Oral Lanuage & Reading Workshop 25 March 2021

This term, as a school, we are investing the time and expertise of 3 of our leading teachers of reading to facilitate a whole day parent workshop on Oral Language and Supporting Reading. This will be an exceptional opportunity for parents to build their understanding and knowledge of how to directly support their children’s reading at home.

The workshop will be presented by our Speech Language Pathologist Emma Linthwaite and Literacy Support Teachers, Michelle Roberts and Selina Stone.
• Thursday 25 March
• 9am to 2-30pm
• Morning tea and lunch catered for

This is an opportunity that will only be offered once and is not to be missed.
