International Competitions and Assessments for Schools (ICAS) provides an opportunity for Year 2 – 6 students to gain a measure of their own achievement in an external testing situation. It provides teachers, parents and students with comprehensive reporting of results in the areas of English and Mathematics.
For over thirty years, ICAS have taken place each year in schools throughout twenty countries including Australia. Talara Primary College will again be participating in 2019
Please note – there will be a cost for each assessment, and they will be held on the following sitting dates. The specific venue at school will be advised:
SUBJECT ICAS SITTING DATES
English $14.50 10 September 2019, and
Mathematics $14.50 12 September 2019
In the past, parents/carers have completed a form to notify the school of which tests they wish their child to do and paid for these through the school. There has been a change to the nomination and billing process this year.
Selection and payment for ICAS tests will now be completed online via the UNSW Global website.
We are asking parents/carers to select the ICAS tests they wish their child to take part in this year and PAY for the test/s directly on the UNSW Global website. The tests we offer have already been entered into the website.
THE COSTS FOR THESE TESTS WILL NO LONGER BE PAID DIRECTLY TO THE SCHOOL.
Parents/Carers can register and pay for ICAS assessments by clicking on the below link or by typing unsw.global/parentpay into a browser.
Parents will need to enter the unique access code (see below) to purchase assessments that have been registered by Talara.
The College's unique access code is: 9451e2fecb
Online registrations and payments have been extended until 14 August 2019.
These assessments are designed and delivered by the not-for-profit arm of the University of New South Wales, Educational Assessment Australia (EAA). For more information please visit https://unsw.global/support-icas
