Calendar Events Changes and Cancellations

UPDATED CALENDAR CHANGES
As outlined in the Principal's email on Monday afternoon, we have now cancelled the following events:
▪️Weekly Parades: There will be no weekly parades until further notice.
▪️Year 1 Excursions to Australia Zoo: scheduled for this Thursday / Friday - cancelled and a credit will be applied against your students’ account for fee paid.
▪️Whole School Open afternoon: scheduled for the last Monday afternoon - will not take place.
▪️Year 4 Culminating: will not take place.
▪️Term 1 Parade of Excellence: scheduled for 1 April - cancelled.
▪️Term 1 Disco: will not go ahead.
▪️Gold Pass Term 1: offsite activities will be changed to occur at the end Term 2. All year levels will still have 2 offsite activities across the year for the Gold Pass fee of $25.

Further events that are now cancelled:
▪️Cross Country: cancelled along with all running clubs (Cross Country Club and Km Club).
▪️All Representative sport: District, Regional and State until further notice.
▪️Book Fair: cancelled.
▪️School Banking: cancelled until further notice by Commonwealth Bank.
▪️ANZAC Day Parade: There will be no whole school ANZAC Parade or community March this year.
▪️Year 6 Brisbane Parliament House Excursion: cancelled – those families who have paid will receive a credit to the student’s account.
▪️Year 2 Mary Cairncross Park Excursion: cancelled.

Events that are postponed:
▪️Chaplaincy breakfasts: until further notice.
▪️Sunshine Coast Dance Eisteddfod: postponed until the 10 August.
▪️National Day Against Bullying: postponed until further notice.
▪️Colour Fun Run: this will be postponed until a later date. We will communicate in term 2 when we believe this event might be able to go ahead. The P&C will still conduct the prize draw for the fantastic families who supported the Online Fundraising.

The Principal also wishes to reinforce his request for all parents to act responsibly in minimising any spread of infections by keeping students at home who are currently showing any symptoms including sore throat, fever, aching muscles or runny nose.
