At an awards ceremony held on Wednesday 21 May at Maroochydore RSL, Talara Primary College was honoured to be presented with a 2014 Showcase Regional Award under the category of ‘Excellence in Early and Primary Years.’
Our entry titled ‘The Talara Story – Data Driven Change’ highlighted our successful journey to be responsive to data and improve reading achievement and attain more entry point information about future students for responsive teaching and intervention.
The school is now keen to showcase their success at the State level. An unprecedented number of schools entered this year’s awards in this the 15th year of the competition. Our school received $1000 for the Regional Award sponsored by Network Ten.
